MEET DONNIE

NEW LEADERSHIP DELIVERING RESULTS FOR OUR COMMUNITY

Donnie Riddell moved to Johnson County in 1995 with his mother, and later his entire family moved to Cleburne. Donnie Riddell met his wife, Ellen Kilcrease-Riddell, of 18 years while they both worked for The Johnson County Sheriff as Corrections Officers in 2001.

Donnie's service shifted specifically to the citizens of Cleburne in 2004 as a police officer and served citizens of Cleburne for 13 years. While at the Cleburne Police Department he served in the Patrol Division and a rotation in Criminal Investigation Division investigating property crimes. Donnie has served as the President, Vice-President, and Treasurer for the Cleburne Police Officer Association.

After leaving the Cleburne Police Department Donnie Riddell was hired as Truancy Officer by the Johnson County Precinct One Constable and served in the Cleburne High School. He was soon promoted to Chief Deputy by the constable and served in that capacity for over four years.

After leaving Johnson County for private work, Donnie's experience was sought out by the Tarrant County Precinct 5 Constable. He currently serves full time as a Deputy for the Constable of Pct. 5 in Tarrant County.

Aside from work, you can often find Donnie at a volunteer organization event or meetings to plan such events.  Donnie absolutely loves the work he chooses to do in the community.  One of his favorites is the opportunity, to help Lions Club with Meals on Wheels.  Last Spring he was honored as the Cleburne Kiwanis President to present 4 scholarships to graduating seniors of Cleburne and Burleson, a first in club history.  Over the years, he has served on many committees for philanthropic causes.  He was an integral and key member helping organize "Shop with a Cop" for several seasons.  He always enjoys a good clay shoot each summer to help Friendship 4H raise funds.  Most Friday nights and many Saturdays you will see him working equipment in some way for the Golden Pride Marching Band of CHS.

In addition, many volunteer roles and hats, you will notice Donnie and his wife co-own a small security business, specializing in home fortification and defense.  A mainline part of the operation is License to Carry.  Donnie is a state qualified instructor for License to Carry and a NRA instructor as well.  Situational awareness is a key safety element in our world today. Coming home safe and having a safe home is a priority for every citizen.  These are all things that will benefit the citizens of Precinct 1.

Before all of these many things comes family.  Donnie married into a large family.  You will often hear of one get together after another.  With a surplus of nieces and nephews from his side and his wife's, plus one witty teenager, there is never a dull moment and very few resting ones.  One of his favorite things in life is spending time with family.  After all, it is the most important.

Donnie's service to the community is evident through his work and dedication.  He works tirelessly to ensure a better place for others starting with family.  His love of family and community show a passion for people that is an asset.  His work ethic, and experience work for a growing community like precinct 1.  Please join in support of Donnie Riddell for Constable of Precinct 1.
